Robert Armstrong was born in Gorey, Co. Wexford in 1953. He studied painting
at the National College of Art & Design. He has exhibited widely and
his work is included in many private and public collections, such as the
Office of Public Works, the Department of An Taoiseach, Office of the Minister
for Finance, Dublin Castle, Leinster House, as well as Irish Life, Allied
Irish Bank, Deutsche Bank, and Standard Life. He is a founder member of
Temple Bar Gallery & Studios and he lectures in painting at NCAD. Recently
in addition to painting he has begun to use video as part of his art practice. |
