Cléa van der Grijn graduated from the National College of Art and
Design with an honours degree in 1991. She travels extensively, documenting,
drawing and writing, returning to Dublin where her studio and gallery -
The Cross Gallery - are based. Primarily a large format installation painter
Cléa also works with film and photography. Cléa has work in
both private and public collections in Ireland, Europe and America. Commissioned
work includes concept, design, and painting for John Rocha, over one hundred
works for the Morrison Hotel, Dublin, Fyffes and Trintech. Cléa is
currently working on a body of paintings based on Cuba and Sri Lanka where
she travelled in 2000. A recipient of visual art grants and bursaries from
both the British And Irish Arts Councils, Cléa lives in Dublin with
her son Oskar. |
