Catherine Kelly was born in 1946 in Dublin. She studied at the National College of Art and Design Dublin, gaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art painting and History of Art (1995) and an MA in Painting and Print (1999). She has exhibited in group shows at the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Guinness Hop Store, Original Print Gallery Temple Bar, Tallaght Civic Theatre, City Hall Limerick, Limerick City Gallery of Art, Sligo Art Gallery and the Foyle Arts Centre Derry. She works in a variety of media. Her work has concerned itself with relationships and perception. The nature of interactions within society has been a consistent theme.
